Monthly Meetings

Today's political climate has made it more urgent than ever to become active in both community and politics.  In the interest of the communities we care about and our clients, we regularly participate in multiple organizations and activities, such as the Southeastern Transgender Ally Initiative (SETAI) and Greensboro chapter of Parents and Families of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) to support the Greensboro LGBT community.

QORDS – Summer 2017, 2018 and Beyond!

Queer Oriented Oradical Days of Summer (QORDS) is a sleepaway camp for queer/trans youth to learn to play instruments, create music, and learn about LGBTQ+ culture and issues. In 2017, our clinician Kevin Dorman volunteered as a voice teacher for the camp. This year, Kevin has expanded their involvement to a week-long camp counselor position.

Interdisciplinary Referral Network

Another priority of ours is working to establish a transgender health referral network for North Carolina, so as to establish better-connected healthcare for transgender people. We also hold regular transgender cultural training sessions for professionals who wish to make their workspace more friendly and accommodating of transgender people.
