Virtual, Gender-Affirming Voice Coaching with a New Local Clinician
Whether you’re in Philly, Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, or anywhere in PA — Prismatic Speech Services offers safe, affirming, and virtual trans voice therapy for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse clients. Now with two Pennsylvania-licensed clinicians ready to help you find your voice.
What is Trans Voice Therapy?
Trans voice therapy (or, as we prefer, gender-affirming voice work) is a personalized, collaborative process that helps you explore your voice, find a part of your range that you feel aligns closer with your gender identity, and generalize the usage of that voice to as many locations in which you want to use it. Special care is taken by our speech-language pathologists to teach you healthy vocal habits to avoid harming your voice. Unless it’s a goal of yours, we feel that you don’t have to “pass;” you need to feel heard. We’re here to help make that happen.
We work with a variety of clients at various points in their transition; the three categories we see the most of are:
Transfeminine clients
seeking lighter, brighter voices
Nonbinary clients
exploring flexibility, neutrality, fluidity
Transmasculine clients
seeking lower, deeper, resonant voices
…but of course, we work with everyone who wants to explore their voice in a supportive, structured environment!

FAQ – Trans Voice Coaching in PA
Can I get started if I’m still questioning or early in transition?
Yes! Many clients come to us early on or even before socially transitioning. Those who are questioning may even find this work helpful in seeking answers about their own identity!
I have (insert insurance here); will my work be covered?
Prismatic is currently all private pay, meaning clients need to pay for sessions upfront and seek reimbursement from their insurance company afterward. For more information and suggested questions to ask your insurance provider, see our costs, pricing, and insurance page.
How soon can I hear results?
Some clients notice a difference after just 1–2 sessions. Most see results within 6–10 weeks with practice.
Do you serve all of PA?
Yes! From Philly to rural areas as long as you have internet access or a stable data plan, we’ve got you.
