Pride Month is a time for all LGBTQIA+ people to celebrate their identities in a world that decries our existence. This observation is held every year in June in recognition of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, during which queer/trans people (largely people of color) began resisting cisgender, heterosexual oppression in a demonstration of unity, love, and unwavering resolve. Thanks to the acts of Marsha P Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, the queer/trans community began to organize to make our needs known to the larger general public. It is in their name, and in the name of all queer/trans activists who came before us, that we come together and rejoice in ourselves in June.

In celebration of Pride Month, and as a show of gratitude to the queer and trans community of the Carolinas, we are decreasing our cost of all assessments, both transgender vocal training and habilitative voice therapy, booked this upcoming month. No matter when the assessment takes place, as long as the assessment is booked during this month, the price will be $50 rather than the usual $100. We do this in an effort to make our services more accessible to the most vulnerable among us: those with limited income; those who are working tirelessly and yet still feel silenced due to their voice.
